Faith Formation & Evangelization Commission

Purpose

The Faith Formation and Evangelization Commission is the consultative body in the parish that assists the pastor/pastoral leader in assuring that the parish offers faith formation for all in the parish and in reaching out to others with the Good News.

Faith Formation Options

The Faith Formation options in the parish include:

  • Catechesis of the Good Shepherd for children ages preschool-middle school
  • Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist
  • Preparation for baptism of infants and children
  • Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
  • Junior High Ministry
  • High school Confirmation program
  • High school summer service project in Eastern Washington
  • Adult Faith Formation Series: three presentations (in November, February, and May) on a topic chosen each year
  • Day of Reflection, sponsored by the Wise Ones, in Advent and in Lent
  • Weekly small group/neighborhood gatherings during Advent and Lent
